‘PRINCESS XENIA’ ARRIVES AT SOFIA

LONG! FLIGHT TO INDIA Aust. Press Assn.—United Service. Eeccived Monday, 9.45 p.m. LONDON, Jane. 11. Captain Barnard accompanied by the Duchess of Bedford and Mr Elliott, who left the Lympne aerodrome at 4.30 on Sunday morning in tho “Princess Xenia” making an eight days’ flight to India and back, arrived at Sofia at 7 o’clock on Sunday evening, covering 1140 miles in fourteen hours. A Eugby wireless received earlier stated that Captain Barnard, accompanied by Mr. Eliott and the Duchess of Bedford, left Lympne aerodrome at half-past four on Sunday morning on their flight to India and back. Captain Barnard hopes to accomplish the journey to Karachi and back in eight days. The outward flight ,is being made in four stages, with halts at Sofia, Aleppo and Bushire.
