At Wellington yesterday Mr. Justice Smith admitted Mr. L. G. H. Sinclair, sou of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Sinclair, of Ngata street, Palmerston North, as a solicitor of the Supreme Court. Messrs. H. Bond (Bainesso) and H. Denton (Levin) have been elected as delegates to -the N. Z. Farmers’ Union Conference in Wellington, from tho Manawatu Provincial executive.
Mr. Keith Peebles, the Woodvillo footballer, who was accidentally injured so severely a few weeks ago, has continued to make good progress after the successful operation. He is now able to got about in an invalid chair, and it should not bo very long before he is perfectly restored to health. Mr. Tom Twigge, who has been on the office staff of Manson and Barr, Ltd., fo some years past, has recently been appointed to tho position of assist-ant-secretary of tho local Y.M.C.A. Mr. Twigge, on leaving to take up his appointment, was the recipient of presents from the management and staff, when reference was made to his special qualifications for the work ho is taking up. Mr. Twigge left to-day for Christchurch, where he will have the benefit of a week’s training in tho Y.M.C.A. there before taking up his now duties.
