RUGBY FOOTBALL
TO-DAY S ATTRACTIONS. In view of the fact that Athletic, in their meeting with Feilding last Saturday, succeeded in holding Kia Tea’s conquerors to a bare margin of five points, the clash between the light blues and the green and blacks this afternoon should bo of interest. Athletic have been showing improved form of late, and it is quite on the cards that Kia Toa will have to look to their laurels. The greens will have an addition to their ranks in Nelson McKuight, who should prove at least a tough proposition for the attentions of opposing forwards. This afl ) noon may hold a surprise in store for fans at the Showgrounds as it did for those at Johnston Park a week ago. At Woodville, the Feilding colts will meet the dark blues on their own ground where they arc always most formidable. Old Boys will journey to Feilding to play the yellow and blacks and here ; great tussle should eventuate • The blacks beat Feilding by the big margin of 21-0 at their las*, meeting, but on present showing it will be a surprise if they have many if any, points to spare. On their homo ground and with the addition of Conrad to their pack, the yellow ami blacks should give Old Boys the gamt of their lives.
At the Showgrounds, as usual there will be an attractive programme of junior football to entertain early comers.
