LIGHT PLANE GIFT TO N.Z. GOVERNMENT

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 8. Mr. Ingle, manager in Now Zealand for C. C. Wakefield and Company, has received advice from the Sydney office to the effect that Sir Charles Wakefield has cabled: — Please offer the New Zealand Government in my name a light 'plane to aid in the development of civil- aviation within the Dominion. Sir Charles Wakefield made a similar gift recently to the Commonwealth Government on the occasion of Bert Hinkler’s arrival there. The development of civil aviation has always interested him.
