DUNCAN FRASER WINS N.Z. CLAY BIRD SHOOT
Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Last Night, The North Island Clay Bird Shooting Championship was won this afternoon by Duncan Fraser of Kaiaua (Hauraki Gulf) after a shoot off with R. Clinch (Huntly) and B. Burgess (Wanganui). Tho wind was tricky. Conditions were 21 rounds Off 18 yards. Scores:— Fraser, Clinch and Burgess, each 20; E. Groone (Hawke’s Bay), A. MacEedie (Auckland), W. McMeekin (Hamilton), H. Quarterman (Taihape), W. Woolven (Hamilton), each 19; P. Dobson (Auckland), J. Amundsen fMatamata), F. Joblin (Gisborne), each i 8; H. Bclk (Taihape) 17. In the shoot off Burgess missed at the fifth round and dropped out. Clinch missed at the eleventh round. Clinch is only 19 years old.
