W.D.F.U.

'I , MEETING OF PALMERSTON BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Women’s D.F.U. was held last Saturday when there was a good attendance. Mrs Carson was in the chair. Arrangements were made to assist the Plunket Society with the afternoon tea at the opening of the rest room at the Showgrounds on the 19th June. It was decided that members of the Division be in attendance at the rest room during show -week. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to all those who kindly assisted to make the birthday party such a great success. Several remits were sert in for the annual conference which takes place in July. Mrs Howell, Mrs Carson and Mrs Shaw wero appointed delegates to attend conference. It was also decided to hold a dance at Newbury early next month.
