POLICE ARE SEARCHING FOR ‘MAN IN RAINCOAT’
MURDER IN SAND DUNES. United Press Association —By Electrie Telegraph—Copyright. PARIS, May 21. As the outcome of an important statement obtained from a resident who says that he saw a man running into the bushes at the soeno of the murder of Mrs. Florence Wilson, tho police aro searching for an Englishman of whom there is a detailed description. It is believed that Vambre, tho arrested deaf mute, has established his innocence, and may be released to-day. Mr. Wilson was formerly managing director of an iron and steel company in Cumberland. Mrs. Wilson, before marriage, lived in Wiltshire, and was well known in West Cumberland as a hunstwoman. Mrs. Wilson was a daughter of the late Mr. Charles Cammed, of Cammed, Laird, of which Mr. Wilson himself ia a director, being tho son of Mr. George Wilson who is chairman of Cammed’s. Mr. Wilson announces a large reward for anyone bringing his wife’s murderer to justice. Later. Tho police are now of opinion that tho murder of Mrs. Wilson may not be a mere brutal crime, but the climax of an encounter with a personal enemy. They are searching for a man in a grey raincoat seen near the brushwood at tho time of tho murder. Later. A muffler, also an ordinary horn handled labourers’ knife, have been found. The latter is believed to be tho weapon used by the murderer of Mrs. Wilson.
