NO WAGES INCREASE FOR CARPENTERS

COMPLETE AGREEMENT IN DOMINION AWARD, (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. A complete agreement on the points outstanding—wages and the term of the award—was reached to-day in the carpenters ’ and joiners' application in the Conciliation Council for a new Dominion award. The employers refused to sanction any increase in wages on the principle that other trades would also apply for an increase. Finally, it was decided that tho present rates of pay should be adhered to and tho term of the award should be two years from tho termination of the late award.
