SAVUJiE CUP TOURNEY. TO BE PLAYED AT CHRISTCHURCH The New Zealand Polo Association's annual Savill Cup tournament which is to be played at Christchurch this year commences on March 20. There will be three competititons this year, namely, Savill Cup, Junior Cup, and Handicap Cup. The entries for the competitions closed on Monday. Pour teams will contest tho Savill Cup at present held by Hawke’s Bay, namely, Hawke’s Bay, Wairarapa, Christchurch A and Parcora A. The teams are as follows— Hawke’s Bay: J. Lyons, N. M. Campbell, J. Gatenby, and P. Mackenzie. Wairarapa: H. Martin, D. C. Collins, C.-H. G. Hewitt, and D. H, S. Eiddiford. Christchurch A; G. H. Grigg, E. W. Johnson, G, P. Huttton, and D‘. W. J, Gould. Pareora A: W. H. Orbell H. Elworthy C. L. Orbell, and A. S. Elworthy. Ten teams will compete for tho Handicap Cup, namely: Hawke’s Bay, Amuri A and B, Wairarapa, Feuding, Christchurch A and B, Banks Peninsula, Pareora A and B. Feilding will be represented by W. M. Stewart, N. J. Short, E. M'Kelvie, and (E, L. Levin. Competition for the Junior Cup is confined to teams whoso aggregate handicap dees not exceed 38- This cup was presented by Messrs. E. L. Levin and D. H. S. Eiddiford to encourage competition among junior team and it will bo offered for competition for tho first time at the coming tournament. Six teams will compete, including Feilding, who w’U be represented by the same team as in the Handicap Cup with the exception that E. E. Shcrf trill replace W M. Stewirt. The draw fr the Savill Cup fixture provides that Hawke’s Bay will meet Christchurch A and Pareora A will meet Wairarapa. The winners of these matches will play off for the cup. In the Junior Cup contest Christchurch B have drawn to met Banks Peninsula, Amuri A meets Feilding and Pareora B meets Amuri B. Tho tournament will commence With two Junior Cup matches and one Savill Cup fixture, Feilding will meet Amuri A on the afternoon of the first day. The finals for tho Savill and Junior Cups will bo played on March 23. Tho Handicap Cup fixture will conclude early in the following week,
