Koforring to Canada’s trade expansion, Mr. W. C.. Field, British Trade Commissioner, states that the general prospects for British manufacturers are good, but they should’ personally visit the country to obtain .first-hand knowledge of local conditions. Commenting on this, the ’‘Times” says: “It is advisable, first, to study conditions on the spot, and then either to establish branches of employ direct representatives. While letters arc passing between this country and the Dominion our keen American Competitors establish personal contact, and, secure the trade; This sort of thing is happening constantly, to our great loss. The problem should not; bo difficult to solve.” '
