Some excitement was caused on the 'Maunganul last night when nearing the coast. Electric light wires behind the panelling in the lounge fused and Ig nited the woodwork. The outbreak was extinguished without difficulty before much damage was done, but as a precautionary measure the vessel was speeded up and lifeboats swung out.
