EASTER TOURNEY. Bowlers are reminded that entries i' for the Easter tourney close with the ) secretary on the evening of March 23rd inst. Numerous entries have already • been received, including bowlers from 1 New Plymouth, Wellington, Wairarapa 1 Victoria, Thorndon, and Ohakunc. Entertaining South Africans. Mr. A. F. Wimsott, secretary of the Manawatu Centre, has received word that the South African touring team which comprises 24 men and 11 ladies, will be passing through Palmerston North next Friday en route for Napier. They will arrive on Friday morning and owing to n poor train connection will bo putting in two hours in Palmerston North before catching the Napier express. Arrangements are being made to welcome and entertain them during their brief stay. There will be no match against the South Africans in Palmerston North as only those centres not included in the Victorian tour are being visited. Palmerston Club’s Teams To-day-The following teams will represent the Palmerston North Club this afternoon in matches to be played against Bulls and Terrace End at the Palmerston North green. Against Bulls:- Wilson, Croad, Goldfinch, Stephenson (skip); Aikon, Divehall, Wilton, Matheson (skip); Croucher, Gallichan, Arnott, Bell (skip); Balsillie, Holbrook, Tozor, Bayliss (skip). Against Terrace End: H. Griggs, Oliver, Paton, Tasker (skip).
