When the fight stopped Mclnnes was declared the winner. Tullipan shaped particularly well. At the Leichhardt Stadium Thompson, 12.2, beat Monson 11.13, in the Light Heavyweight Championship of Australia. The fight was stopped in the tenth round owing to an injury to Monson's eye. IX)VERIO GE BEATS BROADFOOTNEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night Dick Loveridgo (Taranaki) 11.3, defeated A. Broadfoot (Auckland), 11.3, on points in fifteen rounds last night at one of the best tournaments ever staged by the Taranaki Boxing Association. In the amateur contests T. Donovan of Waitara, N.Z. Featherweight Champion, defeated C. Manson of Auckland, and N. Roebuck. New Plymouth, N.Z. Flyweight Champion, beat A Fraci, Auckland.
