AUCKLAND, Feb. 24.*; The Auckland Swimming, Gentry after hearing a statement by Mr. Enright, one of the Auckland delegates, resolved to forward a letter to tho New Zealand Swimming Association pointing out that Miss Stocklcy, had priority in times for the first nominee' as. a Now Zealand representative at the Olympic games, the following amend-, ment moved by Mr. Enright being lost: "That the centre take no action and that the, nominations as submitted to tho New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association bo allowed tho Order that they are in at present. 1 ’
The , centre 'e delegate to, the New Zealand council is to be instructed to support a .motion that.the New Zealand swimming, championships be held in February instead of in January ,as at present intended. /-.-.V* Private advice has been received that Miss Stocklcy.’s time in winning thO| 100 yards ladies’ championship of Aus-J tralia at Melbourne last Saturday was 67 4-5 seconds, not 60 4-5 seconds as previously reported.
