To mark tho occasion the cricketers of Dunedin have purchased for him a handsome souvenir which will be handed to him at the Carisbrook ground to-day. ■ Tho souvenir is of unique character. On a greenstone base three stamps, all being knocked back,-, are shown with tho bails lying on tho ground, and on the stretch of silver wicket are inscribed tho words: "Well, bowled." The coat of arms of Dunedin and a silver fern are also displayed oh the souvenir, the fern being the inscription: "To 0. V. Grimmett the cricketers of his native city."
