NEV YORK, Feb. 19. r At Chicago, * Police Commissioner Hughes announced that since tho first of January, 1925, thirty-two policemen and 143 gangsters had been slain in gun battles. In the preceding two years the death toll was eighteen policemen and ninety gangsters.
