LORRY HITS TRAIN BUT DRIVER ESCAPES

(Per Press Association). HAMILTON Last Night. A light lorry, driven by Mr. Ct. Cameron, struck the Frankton-Eotorua tram at tire Waharoa crossing this morning, hitting the engine cab. The lorry was badly smashed and the driver had a narrow escape, receiving severe cuts. The engine was damaged and was replaced at Matamafa.
