TEMPORARY STERILITY 11 Savol" as a Remedy Contagious abortion, temporary sterility, and trouble getting cows in calf are gradually losing their terrors for those who have learnt to appreciate the value of the scientific preparation known as “ Savol,” which is finding its way into almost every milking shed in the Dominion. A recognised veterinary authority has recently publicly expressed the opinion that ‘ ‘ it all herds were regularly treated with ‘Savol,' undoubtedly within a reasonable period contagious abortion would be eradicated from New Zealand.” There arc certain periods of the' year when preventative treatment gives a maximum result of effectiveness, Such a period is now approaching, and during the coming week every cow, before being served, should bo treated with “ Savol ” in order to guard against cows and heifers coming back or aborting in a few months' time. This sciontilie preparation is one of the greatest trouble-savers and moneymakers ever placed into the hands ot dairymen. It has been evolved as the result of exhaustive chemical re* search; is specially designed for the irrigation of the reproductive organs; is a non-irritating, sterilising fluid; is quickly absorbed into the system through the skin and walls of any internal parts; and—what is perhaps of equal importance —may bo easily ana simply applied without expert knowledge. To the intelligent and successful dairy farmer, putting cows to the bull is no more the haphazard and casual method of a few years ago. He recognises that a little trouble taken fins time of the year will repay him handsomely next season. Moreover, he knows that the advantages of building up a herd free from abortion and the benefits derived from having cows come in at the proper time may represent the margin between success aud failure. These advantages and benefits are assured by the use of “ Savol ” during the next few weeks, and a special effort should bo made to treat cacu cow and thus lay the foundation foi future success and prosperity. Please note that the N.Z. Loan ana Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. arc the local agents for this preparation.
