KIRITAKI CHILDREN’S BALL

[From Our Own Correspondent] Quite a largo crowd assembled at the schoolroom on Friday night for the occasion of the Children's Fancy Press Ball, which was an unqualified success, over £l3 being taken at the door. The music for the children’s dances was played by Mr. Carston. The children had the’floor until 10 o’clock, when they adjourned to the schoolroom to a sumptuous supper provided by the ladies of the district. The prizes for the best fancy dresses were given by the bachelors. When the grown-ups took possession of the door, Mr. Higgins ably carried out the duties of M.C. and the music was supplied by Miss E. Powell, Mrs. Brooking, Mr. Blake and Mr. Sanders.
