MAKING OUT CASE FOR EXTRADITION
SEQUEL OF FOSTER CASE. [By Electric Cable-Copyright.] (Aust. and N.Z. Cablo Association.] (Received Wednesday, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 14. Magistrates sitting privily arc hearing 120 witnesses for the prosecution of Joseph Foster at present at Hamilton, New Zealand. The evidence will be forwarded to New Zealand after which it is hoped that there will be sufficient grounds to extradite Foster, to England. Foster Again Remanded. Alleged to have stolen a mailbag containing £IO,OOO in Treasury notes from the Cardiff-London express on February 2nd, Joseph Foster, aged 44, who was arrested on a provisional warrant at Claudilands, Hamilton, recently, appeared before the Magistrate’s Court to-day. Foster, who is described as a traveller, was also charged with having received a bag which was the property of the British Government, knowing it to have been dishonestly obtained. On the application of Chicf-Detec-tive Ward, ho was remanded to appear next Wednesday.
