The beautiful cantata, “The Good Shepherd,” by Mee Pattison, is to be sung by the- choir, at St. John’s Anglican Church on Thursday evening, June 23. The soloists will be Mesdames Golding and Awdry. Miss Hubner and the Vicar, and Messrs. Fish and Salter. The death occurred on Friday last at Waipukurau of Mrs. F. E. Pickering, who was well-known in Fcilding and district as a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Beattie, of Feeding. Besides her husband and family she leaves several sisters and brothers in- this district —Mesdames Revington Jones and Kossiter and Messrs Dudley and D. Beattie.
