Estimated cheese stocks on April lat London, Liverpool .and Bristol: Canadian and American, 36,000 boxes New Zealand and Australian, 114,250 crates, against 48,700 and 74,800 same' time last year. , Eggs. Supplies checked by low prices and markets have firmer tone. Present quotations- are: Danish, 13s. 6d. per long 100 England and Dutch, 11s. to 12s, 6d. per long 100; Belgian 10s. 6d. to 11s. per long 100, Polish, ,7s. 6d, to Ss, 6dl per long 100. Hemp. Manilla market dull and easier, J. grade April—June shipments gold £4l close sellers that figure. Sisal market dull with small demand for afloat. Merino r.iaintaned the initial advance, crossbred also until third week when some irregularity .developed. At the close, fine crossbred par to 5 per cent, and other 6 per cent, above closing rates last series. Sales: Colonial 124,500, of which 66,000 for export, including 4000 U.S.A. Average closing values are: G4’s (Merino), super, 2s. to 2s. 3d. per lb.; average Is. 6d. to Is. 10Jd. : per lb.: 56’s (super.halfbred), Is. 9Jd. to 2s. per lb.; 50’s, Is. 7d. to Is. 9d. per lb.; 48 to 50’s (fine crossbred), Is. 4Jd. to Is. 6£d. per lb.; 44 to 46’s (medium crossbread). Is. Sd. to Is. 4d. per lb.; 36 to 40’s (coarse crossbroad). Is. 2d. to Is. 3d. per lb. Next sales will take place on Mas 3. \ _ ; Dairy Produce Afloat. The following cable message was yesterday received by a local firm from its London agents: “Australia, New' Zealand and Argentine butter afloat and landing, 700,000 boxes, Business quotas of butter and cheese are clearing readily. Prices are likely to remain at the present for some time unless America operates largely.” The Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date April !;■ New Zealand frozen meat sd. per lb. Ewe, light, 4 1-Sd. per lb.; —-Lamb, SJd. per lb. (average). Mutton—Wethbr and maiden, ewe, light, 6 l-Bd. per lb.; wether and maiden ewe, heavy, ewe heavy, 3 7-Sd, per lb. Market quiet.
