Peguillot, a youth of 18, who was infatuated by Yvette Merville, a touring: actress playing- in his tome town, followed her to her next stopping place and shot her dead, owing to her rejection of his addresses. It is now revealed that Peguillefs father 10 years ago murdered, under similar circumstances, an actress who was appearing at Besancon, and then himself committed suicide.
