MENACE TO INDUSTRY. GRANT FOR RESEARCH WORK: MARTON, December 13. A representative:meeting of sheepfarmers of the Hunterville district on Saturday resolved that, in view of the fact that a large -sum has been, made available- by ■ theßritish Government' towards .assisting Empire production; the most, serious menace to which in Now Zealand Is bid'dybiddy (or utuwai) in wool, a committee be set up to further the claims of the Dominion towards obtaining a grant from this fund towards research work in eradicating the weed. The utuwai presents a serious problem for the farmers of this district.
