Official quotations are:—New Zealand salted, December 11th, 168 sto 170 s per cwt (Is 6d to Is 6id per lb): December 4th, 160 s to 166 s (is 5d to Is 53d). Exceptional: December 11th, 176 s (Is 634). Other qualities; December 11th, 164 s to 166 s (is 5d to Is 53d). New Zealand Control Board official minimum prices are: —Finest 176 s (Is 6jid); first grade, 170 s (Is 6id). Australian. —Salted; December 11, 166 s to 170 s per cwt (Is 5Jd to Is 6Jd). Exceptional: 172 s (Is 61d). December 4th, 160 sto 1645. Canadian. —Coloured and white: December 11th, 95s to 9Ss per cwt (lOd to lOJd): December 4th, 92s to 96s (95d to 10Jd). New Zealand. Coloured and white: December 11th, 95s to 96s per cwt (lOd to 10id per lb); December 4th, 93s to 94s per cwt (92d to lOd per lb): Control Board minimum prices are: Finest 96s per cwt (IOJd per ib); first grade, 95s per cwt (lOd per lb). Casein.—Present quotations arei French rennet, £SB to £6O; New Zealand rennet, £66.

Tallow.—Market quiet at the decline. Limited demand at auction. Present quotations are; Mutton: Pine 41s per cwt; fair to good, 37s to 40s per cwt: dark to dull, 35s to 36s 6d per cwt. Beef; Sweet and/or mixed, 37s 6d to 40s per cwt; fair to good, 355-6 d to 37s per cwt; dark to dull, 34s to Sss per cwt. Mixed: Fair to Rood. 35s 6d to 37s per cwt; dark to dull, 34s to 35s per cwt. Gut, etc., 32s 6d to 34s per cwt. Honey. Fair demand. Present quotations are:—New Zealand: White 68s to 80s per cwt; light amber special, 68s to 75s per cwt; medium amber prime, 57s to 65s per cwt; dark, 55s to 58s per cwt Californian, 45s to 55s per cwt. Jamaican: 32s 6d to 55s per cwt. Haitian and Santo Domingo: 32s 6d to 50s per cwt Australian: 40 s to 50s per cwt. Eggs.—New-laid scarce and demand is good. Present quotations are: Dutch, 30s to 32s per long 100; English and Danish, 26s to 28s 6d per long 100; Belgian, 23s to 26s per long 100; Australian, 18s to 19s per long 100; South African, 14s to 17s 9d per long 100; Argentine, Russian, Polish and Chinese, 11s 3d to X6s 6d per long 100.

Woo!—Sales closed yesterday (Friday), competition throughout fairly general, but small French support. Merino principally taken for Continent, particularly Germany, crossbred for Home trade. Better feeling owing to settlement of coal strike. Slight improvement in crossbred since opening. Compared with last closing rates, best merino 5 per cent, lower; fine crossbred par; medium crossbred and coarse crossbred par to 5 per cent, lower. There were 120,000 bales catalogued, of which 93,000 were sold, Continent taking 48,000, Home trade 44,000 and America 1000.

Average closing values are; GO to C4's (merino), Is 61d to 2s Old; 56’s (super halfbred), Is Sd to Is lOtd: 4S to BO’s (fine crossbred). Is 3Jd to Is 4?.d; 44 to 4G’s (medium crossbred), is 2d to Is 3d; 3G to 40’s (coarse crossbred;, Is Id to Is 2d. Next scries commence January IS. Hemp—Manila market closed firm. “J” grade Novcmber-January shipments, quoted £4B sellers. Ki.sal market easier; value of DecemberFebruary shipments, No. 1 Tanganyika £45 5s and Kenya £43. Risal Tow scarce and market firm. First grade quoted £3 3. New Zealapd highpoints still not in demand, but

fair inquiry for lower grades. De-ccmber-February shipments quoted highpoints £3S 10s. and fair £3G ss.
