Cable Association.] (Received Tuesday, 7 p.m.) NEW YORK, Dee. 13, At Irvington, New Jersey, the police recently closed the kineiuas. in retaliation the theatre-goers invoked a statute, dated 1798, which forbade citizens engaging in occupation for gain or playing fiddles or games on Sundays. On the following Monday morning, forty citizens were lined for trading, participating in games, and other offences. The offenders included newspaper reporters and motor-car employees. The citizens arc now appealing to the Legislature to cancel these archaic laws. wwawvwmvAvwwwi
