COMING OF AGE DANCE

Mr. and Mrs. J. Carey entertained a large number of friends at a dance in the Rangwahia Hall, to celebrate the 21st birthday of their daughter Eva. The hall was tastefully decorated with rod and white streamers forming a canopy overhead and red camellias and white broom on the stage and around the hall. The supper tables were artistically arranged with white hyacinths and red japonica. Special musical items wore supplied by Misses Martin, Carey, Parker and Delhi. Miss Carey wore a green georgette frock daintily embroidered with silver, while Mrs. Oarey was dressed in brown silk and wool knitted fiock. Others present were: —Miss Martin, Gold satin; Mrs Prugoan, blue satin; Mrs. Cooper, navy crepe de chine; Mrs. Pearson, Black Satin; Miss E. Carey, apricot marocain; Mrs. Boshier (Taihapo), blue crepe-de-chino and lace; Miss Palmer, blue marocaine; Mias Stent, black crepe-do -chino; Mias B. Morgan, Kingfisher crope-de-chine; Miss Burke, blue -satin; Miss R. Parker, blue velvet; Miss G. Morgan, green marocain; Miss Shaw, blue crepe-de-chine; Miss Delhi flame georgette; Miss Kroger, blue' marocaine; Miss Parker, Pavalova I'eorgette; Miss E. Dcihl, pink crepe: ilo chine; Miss Hears, shell pcorgeltc; Miss Boshier, mauve crepe de chine: Mrs Moess, blue marocain; Mrs Watson, brown crepe de chine; Also Messrs Burke (3), Carey, H. Meads, Martin (2), Christison, Grover, Boshier. Saywell (2), Stent. Rogers, Smith, S.Stent Clifton, Prugoan, Kroger, Couper (2), Campbell, Morgan (2) Watson, Price and Moess.
