The cycle road race held on Saturday undefthe auspices of the Manawatu Amateur- Athletic Club, was marred to a certain'-extent by • the heavy wind blowing at the time.The to be McDonald (Bunnythorpe), 7mins.-handicap, his time being’ 44mins„ 57 2-ssecs. 0" G. Travers (7mins.) was second and A. York (7mins.), thUt. The finish;'was an exceedingly close- one,, and placed the scratch men passing .over the mark within a few seconds, of each other. A,- J. Tate made fastest, time of 39mins., 57secs. The , course was twice round , the Rangitikei and Gillespie line blocks..
