ITALY’S NEW DEVELOPMENT. [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] [By Electric Cable—Copyright.] ROME, Oct. 29. Speaking at the fourth anniversary celebration of the Fascist revolution. Signor Mussolini declared that never before in Italian history had so much been dono in 12 months. Fascism’s greatest merit was the nation’s armed forces which, to-day, were ready for any eventuality. This new spirit was due to tho Fascist regime alone. He ' added that foreign relations were particularly happy. The closing of the traditional outlets of migration had resulted in an intensification of works in tho colonies. Italy had, without- resistance, occupied Jarabub and extended its domination in Somaliland and brought the Rhodes (off the south-west coast of Asia Minor) and Aegean Islands within the Fatherland, and shortly would bo carrying out development work in Tripolitana, Cyrcnaica (North Africa), and Abbyssinia. Massowah would bo the premier port of the. Rea Sea.
