Previous efforts of this kind have ended more or less disastrously, but i there is such a persistent demand bvi American visitors to this country that j (ho “Now York Times” is now ac-1 Lively preparing- for the production of a London weekly newspaper Unit will be solely devoted to American news. At present it is a common complaint of Americans in London that the only news of the I'nited States that they can find in the English newspapers is of a sensational character, and that in fact the press of Great Britain give too ranch space to Kills Island inci- , dents and too little to the really im- 1 port matters of the American contin- I ent.
