LUXURY IN TRAMCARS
The following are among the improvements in the London County Council tramcars which the Highways Committee has recommended. Tne cost of improving 100 cars will be £23,000: — A cushioned seat in each ot the four corners. Five transverse seats on each side of the centre aisle. Cork carpet on the floor. Increase of lamps by four to ten. Signal bell-pushes for passengers Improved hand-rails for “straphangers.” New scheme of decoration.
