RETURN VOYAGE IN 12J DAYS. Arriving at Plymouth early on the morning on August 24 from Now York, the Cunarder Mauretania completed the double crossing of the Atlanti cin 121 days from the time she left Cherbourg on her outward voyage. The usual time taken by the biggest ships for Ihe round trip is 17 or ,1S days. On this occasion the Mauretania was alongsid c the Cunard pier in New York for only 31 hours. During that time west-bound passengers were disembarked and cast-bound passengers embarked, the stocktaking o fthc stores carried out, the ship stored again for the return voyage, 5000 tons o foil fuel taken on board. 75.000 pieces of linen collected and washed, and the ship cleaned from stem to stern.
