(From Our Own Correspondent.) The final euchre and dance for the | season was held on Wednesday evenling, with a fair attendance from surrounding districts. These functions j have provided much enjoyment to .(country settlers during the winter j months and members ot the Toko- : rangi school committee arc to he coni j gratulated on tho success of their I united efforts in this direction. The ladies' prize, a handsome bronze jar- . dinierc, donated by Mrs. Erwin, of Halcombc, was won by Miss Smith. , The men's prize, a useful pocket wal- , j let. was donated by Mr. Roberts, and , j won by Mr. A. Clotty. The consolaijtion prizes fell to Miss E. Corbett and Mr. 13. Rosser reaped ivoly. Mr. T. | I wikau, chairman of the school com- . mil tee, presented the points prizes for the season, Mrs. W. Pago winning tho | Indies' and Mr. R. Kreegher securing |I he men’s. Tho prizes were.
