Giving evidence before the, select committee investigating' the alleged bribery plot, Mr. Willis, vice-presi-dent of the Executive Council and chairman of the directors of the Labour Daily newlspaper, said he had no Knowledge of the alleged plot before the publication in the Dabour Daily of an article alleging that a plot existed. It was not published with his knowledge. After the article was published Farley came to his house and that was the first time he knowingly had seen Farley. The latter called on him twice afterwards, but he (Mr. Willis) refused to have anything to do with him. Later the editor of the Labour Daily told Mr. Willis that the articles were not based on information received from Farley. The committee has adjourned sine die.
