Mr Bruce is Reticent on Constitutional Issue
McKenzie King Reiterates Canada has no Grievance
Interest in the approaching Imperial Conference, for which the delegates of the various Dominions are now arriving in England is steadily growing. A statement of the attitude of Canada, South Africa and the Irish Free State, on the subject of inter-imperial relationship, is awaited with some anxiety.

Mr. Brace and party, looking fit, came to London to-day, after a rough Channel crossing, and were met by Sir Joseph Cook and other officials representing Overseas and Imperial Government Departments. Replying to interviewers, Mr. Bruce said that of course ho and all the delegates would have "lots to say if Canada'raises the question of tho rights of Govcrnors-Gencral, but I cannot anticipate the Conference and say what cvr stand will be.”

Wireless from the Mcgantic, in which the Canadian delegates to tho Imperial Conference arc travelling, states that they conferred with reference to the Pacific cable, and though no policy was formulated, it was agreed that a wireless chain should be established to supersede the existing cable arrangements. Nevertheless, Mr. Mackenzie King, apparently alluding to the Pacific cable dispute, reiterated that Canada was bringing no grievance to the Imperial Conference. (Received Tuesday, 10.35 p.m.) LONDON, Oct 12. Tho “Daily Express’ ” Berlin cor-z-espondent states that the "Deutsche Allgcmeinc Zoitung” fears that the Dominions at tho Imperial Conference are about to propose higher preferential tariffs, which will impose an additional handicap on Gorman commerce.
He regarded migration redistribution of tho white population of tho Empire as one of the most vital subjects for tho Conference. Everything depended upon development, which would decide the overseas rate and capacity for absorption. Ho thought tho Empire Marketing Board was doing useful work. Tho question of improved and faster shipping services for the carriage of produce would have to be given tho closest attention.
