The “News of the World” states that the affairs of Earl Farquhar, who died without an heir in August, 1923., have been found to bo in hopeless chaos, prohibiting the payment of all legacies. The Fife Estate, for which Earl Farquhar was trustee, is said also to lie involved in chaos, resulting in heavy losses, which explains the Princess Royal’s recent sale of her famous Romney pictures and some valuable furniture.
