FROZEN MEAT MARKET
■ Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd, report having received the following cablegram from their London house, under date September 2: — Lamb.—Now Zealand prime crossbred lamb; Canterbury, light 9Jd, heavy 8 l-8d; North Island, heavy •Tld., light BJd; market dull; demand limited. Mutton. New Zealand prime crossbred mutton: Canterbury, light 65d, heavy 5Jd: North Island, light 6d, heavy sd; market weak; demand poor owing to warm weather. Beef.—New Zealand prime ox beef: Hinds, 5Jd; fores, 3Jd; market! firm; demand fair. Australian frozen meat.—Good average quality crossbred lamb, heavy and light not quoted; good average quality crossbred mutton, light 33d; heavy not quoted; market weaker: demand poor. There are heavy supplies of Scotch lamb, selling at practically the same price as for frozen. Demand generally very limited.
