YOUTHFUL MAORI CULPRITS
TWO HOUSES ENTERED IN WOODVIUUE. SHORT CAREER OF CRIME. Two Maori youths who evidently did not believe in permitting the sun to go down on a resolution once formed, arrived in Woodvllle from the Wairarapa by train yesterday, and during a sojourn of only a few hours, entered the dwellings of Messrs. James McKinley and Tom Wheeler, and removed goods to the value of between £5 and £6. Fully appreciating the value of a quick get-away, under the circumstances, they were on the railway station awaiting an evening train to Palmerston North .when Nemesis in the form of the local policeman descended on them, and they wore arrested, the stolen goods being found on them. The youths, who are 1G and 12 years old respectively, are said to hail originally from Wanganui, and to have been visiting in the Wairarapa. They Will appear before the Court to-day, when a remand will probably be asked for to enable inquiries Inlo their antecedent to be made.
