A wireless message reports that a steamer picked up ninety-nine or those aboard the Chichibu Maru. who reached land, but 150 are still missing It appears that the crew attempted to escape in lifeboats when the vessel struck ground and broke her back, but the storm drove them seaward. The search for the missing continues.
