AN INTELLIGENCE TEST
Whether it was to win a bet or not could not be ascertained, but a man with time reposing abundantly in his hands, certainly enjoyed himself immensely in a Socratic way when he made the round of a dozen business premises in Palmerston North yesterday and subjected the occupiers to something in the nature of an intelligence test. The question was a simple one, yet not one of the twelve men approached gave the correct answer, from which it may be deduced that the whole of the town’s shopkeepers and others of commercial standing, arc equally ignorant.
