The following scratchings for the Feilding meeting are announced —• Rahiata, in the Ongo Hack, and Superb King in the maiden event. There was fine weather for training at Riccarton this morning. All the fast work was done on the outBide of the track proper. Front Rank beat Miss Flighty over half a mile in 49 2-ssecs, Haze, Carnot and a Sutala fifty taking 49 3-5 secs. Rivalry and Centrepiece did seven furlongs in 1.31 2-5. Assurance beat Peho over half a mile In 50secs. Deucalion and Chickwheat went seven furlongs in 1.29 1-5. Victory Bond did half a milo up the back in 49 4-ssecs. Charlatan was schooled over a few fences. He jumped the first fairly and ran off at the second, but did well the next time round. Colour do Rose took 50 3-ssecs. for half a mile. Scrip ran away from Paper Boy, doing five furlongs In 1.1 3-ssecs. Footfall covered six furlongs in 1.17 4-5. Paperchase sprinted half a-mile in 49secs, Zarisee following later in 48 4-ssecs. Lady Swinton and Bon Skirl took 50 3-s.secs. Limonite boat Murihaupo over five furlongs in 1.2 2-5 . Blue Hall and Ethiopian were schooled over five fences. Ethiopian ran off at the second double, but otherwise it was a satisfactory display. Gold Buck ran six furlongs, the last four taking 51 2-ssecs. Count Cavour did a mile alone in 1.41 2-5. Frivolous ran five furlongs in 1.3 4-5. Kilboy beat Clare Crag over six furlongs in 1.19. Revunl and Battlement were well matched over half a mile in 52seos. The outside of the course proper outside of two trestles was available for fast work, and was in good order. Before breakfast Chairman ran six furlongs in 1.24 2-5. Danae and Holymond were together in front of Hangawere at the end of a mile, run In 1.46 3-5. Marble Mount did throe furlongs In 39secs. Joy Ride did four furlongs in 55 3-ssecs. King Emerald and Queen Emerald were together at the end of half a mile, run in 51secs. Sleepy Sol and Town Bank started off at the seven furlongs and were picked up by Wenday at the five furlongs, running the full distance in 1.31 4-5. Golden Krist and Gay Comet did the last three furlongs of their work in 40secs. Rapine and Star Stranger did a round, finishing together in 2.2. Gold Fern ran six furlongs in 1.20 1-5, Tall Timber covered six furlongs, running the last four in 51 l-ssecs. Musketoon went a round in 2.7 2-5. Clarus and Threadneedle were together in front of Automaton over five furlongs in 1.6 1-5. Joy King simply walked away from Gauntlet in a six furlong gallop in 1.18 3-5. Aurumavis, Judge's Box and Appellant ran seven furlongs in 1.33 2-5. Merry Jest did four in 51secs. Cawnpore, Gala Day and Lady Ridicule went a mile from the new post, Cawnpore finishing in front of Gala Day, with Lady Ridicule last, the lime being 1.46 2-5, the last seven furlongs taking 1.34. Mosaic and King Comet went six furlongs in 1.21 2-5. Romney went half a mile in 54 2-ssecs. Hlpo did seven furlongs in 1.33, assisted by Willow Wai over the last five. Tapuhi went over six hurdles, dislodging his rider at the last. Pittsworth went over the steeples fences, including the hill. He gave a good exhibitifon. Sir Rosebery, Explorer, Kawini and Rahero set out for a round of the big fences and finished in that order over the stone-wall, where Rahere broke a leg and had to be destroyed. Bahadur, Mahgaloire, Some Bother and Flowing Bowl set out on a similar mission. Flowing Bowl pulled up. The others finished as named. Black Cruiser and Little River went over four hurdles.
