AWAHURI SCHOOL

PICNIC AND SPOUTS. The Awahuri public school picnic and sports were held on Mr Dawbin’s property at Awahuri in perfect weather. During the the chairman of the school committee, Mr Bond, presented the prizes won by the pupils during the past year, and in doing so, took the opportunity of thanking all who had helped to rafike the gathering a success. Reference was also made to the illness of the headmaster (Mr Bousfield), who is being relieved by Mr Handley, of Wanganui.
