DANNEVIRKE GYMHKANA

Arrangements in connection with the Dannevirke A. and P. gymkhana to be held on 24th March on the show- . grounds, are well forward, and, given favourable weather, a big gathering is anticipated. Support is coming from all quarters. All sub-commit-tees are working hard to make their particular sections successful. The i procession, which leaves town at 10 a.m., will commence the day’s enjoyment, and patrons will find on arrival at the grounds, that everything has been done to give them a good time, ■ As a grand finale, a hard-up dance will be held in the drill hall in ths evening. Prizes have been promised for both the procession and the dance. Competitors who intend to take part In the running and chopping events ar e reminded that entries close on • ■ Monday, 15th March, at 8 p.m., with ■ the secretary, H. S. M. Quigiey. All - other events are post entry.
