Fast times and close finishes were the order of the day at the Palmerston North Boys’ High School swimming sports yesterday. The events followed one another with a lack of delay that spoke well for the organisation. Following are the, detailed results:— I

26 yards’ junior championship: Fletcher 1, Birch 2, Bryden 3. Time, 15 1-5.

25 yards under 14: McCalister. (4), 1; Rodgers (2), 2; Mitchell (4), 3. Time, 18.
