PROBLEMS OF LABOUR

LONDON, Fob. 13,

Mr. G. N. Barnes, P. 0., the Labour leader, who was a member of the War Cabinet in 1917. enthusiastically welcomes the Daily Mail’s arrangement to send six working men to investigate the reasons for the prosperity of workers in the United States.

“The mission,” Mr. Barnes says “will enable workmen throughout Britain to learn the secret of greater production and higher wages. The British workman must cease to regard hiniself as a wage slave, with a degrading view of life,, and become a better citizen, abandoning the wornout theories of class conflicts.”
