Last Night Recent heavy rains had little effect on the track at Rugby Park today when the visiting Amqrican athletes conclusively proved their superiority over the local and visiting New Zealand runners. The track, although soft was.not holding and fair times were registered by Scoltz, who scooped the pool In the sprints, winning the 76 yards (7 4-ssecs.),' 100 yards (10 l-ssecs.), and 220 yards (22 4-ssecs.), all from scratch. Hahn won the mile (In 4.37 8-ssecs., windy day and soft track) and was third In the 440 yards beating Kye, the brilliant Wellingtonlan. by the barest margin. Harington (25 yards) was first and Geddes (10yds.), second. Time, 53secs.
