HIGH COMMISSIONER
SIR JAMES PARR APPOINTED SIR JAMES ALLEN'S SUCCESSOR. The appointment of Sir Janies Parr as High Commissioner for New Zealand in London has been anticipated for several months past, but it was not until Tuesday night that the Prime Minister made the official statement, in making, which the fit, Hon. J. G. Coates said: "Sir James Allen's term of office as High Commissioner Will eitplre on 31st July next, and it has become necessary for the Government to take steps to select a successor to represent New Zealand In. London. It has been decided to appoint as High Commissioner the Hon. Sir 0. J. Parr, K.C.M.G., who at present holds the Ministerial portfolios of Education and Postmaster-GenCrai. Sir Jftmes Parr will leave for London within the next two months. His resignation of his two portfolios and also of his seat in the House of Representatives wIU take place in due course."
