THOSE “UNWOMANLY GIRLS”
(To The Editor.) Sir. —I will feel grateful if you will be good enough to publish the following in answer to “The Sleeper Awakened’’: — As a visitor from Dunedin which city is termed the “Dour City,” I can. not let the letter of "The Sleeper Awakened’* pass without commenting on the “Kill Joy” vein in which it fs written. “The Sleeper Awakened" has awakened alright, probably from the Victorian Era. As a father of girls I cannot see what harm can come of these nfbdern girls tripping the “light fantastic” even at night providing it is kept within the bounds of decency and this can be left to the Feilding girls without doubt. There is always one puritanical person in any town who is ready to lush into print as soon as laughter is heard. As one who Intends to have a front stall seat on opening night, I am looking forward with interest to watching the prowess of the Feilding girls in their high-kicking operations. “Honi soit qui mal y pense.”—l am etc., 1926.
