TRAINER KILLED AT DANNEVIRKE

TAXI COLLIDES WITH LIGHTING POLE.

At about R. 30 p.m. on Saturday a seven-seator taxi-car collided with an electric light pole at Danncvirke. It was turning out of the northern end of High street and skidded, with the result that the rear portion was smashed as the car crashed into the transmission, pole. A man named Lowry, a racehorse trainer, was seated at the point of impact and was so seriously injured that ho died on the way to the Danncvirke hospital. It is understood deceased was a married man who resided at Hastings.
