RIVERINA BUSH FIRES

Strong winds have aggravated the hush Are situation in the Riverina. Messages from Tumut state that new outbreaks have occurred and several older fires have swept many more miles of country. Hobart reports that bush fires are raging in various parts of Tasmania. In the thicklytimbered Tyema valley, One timber mill was destroyed and others are threatened.
